Patriotic Rooster Ornaments

I love all things patriotic and love to paint patriotic as well. My house is filled with patriotic items year round and these items can be found in practically every room. My favorite colors are red and blue as any one would be able to tell the minute they walked into my living room…red walls, blue denim chair, a red over stuffed chair, beige couch with blue plaid pillows as well as several handmade flour sack pillows…because I do love the rustic farmhouse look as well. I guess you can say, I am just a crafty hometown kind of girl who loves plaid and patriotism.

Over the years, I have painted many roosters with a patriotic design and when we chose our Rooster Ornaments – Set of 4, I knew I would have to give them a little patriotic look too. These guys are fairly little, so I decided not to do any shading, but just dry brush a few highlights here and there to make the colors pop.

  1. Hi Harriet,
No, the painting instructions are not included when you buy the rooster ornaments, it is just the surface. Sorry about that, the other option is to paint along from your computer or phone with the instructions here in the Blog post or Download the additional design that is available on our Website and follow along with the Download on the computer. Here is the link for the other pattern: https://www.artistsclub.com/rooster-ornaments/g/332314201

  2. If you buy the rooster ornaments, do you get the painting instructions? My daughter last name is Gallo…a Italian…which means “rooster” in Italian!! Thought these would be best if easy to paint!😊 I do not have a printer to print anything….
