I went on a painting frenzy; once I started Icouldn’t stop! I started with the Frosted Glass Ornament using the lights from the Holiday Cheer Stencil. Well that was so easy and built up my confidence, so I decided to paint on a 3-1/2 inch Rusted Star using a tree design from the same stencil plus I did little bit of free hand painting by adding the star and the dashes around the outside of the star. I used the Holiday, Fall, Merry Metallics, and Sparkling Accents Paint Pot Sets. Now I was on a roll and decided to go big with my next project. I chose the Round Tin Pail with Handle and decided to paint both sides with different motifs, a scarecrow and a snowman. Talk about easy decorating. I just have to turn it around after fall to start celebrating winter! I got the face patterns from the Artist’s Club tutorial section on the website – click on the Freebies tab and then the tutorials. The scarecrow came from the Happy Fall Ornaments tutorial and the snowman from the Quick Ornament Ideas. With the weather just starting to change I’m eyeing some pumpkins and snowman resin I have in my stash and am getting ready to get painting. Practice, practice, practice and one day I may not cuss every time I paint. Although, I do still even hear MaryJo muttering every once and awhile.
