My Painting Area

My Painting Area

Okay, I am embarrassed to even show you my paint area at this time, but I will be brave and show you all what a mess I have…one of my paint resolutions was to get my painting area cleaned up so that I can keep up with the UFO challenge too.

Okay, I am embarrassed to even show you my paint area at this time, but I will be brave and show you all what a mess I have…one of my paint resolutions was to get my painting area cleaned up so that I can keep up with the UFO challenge too.

As you can see, I have a small area to paint in, it is actually a closet that we took the doors off. I snuck my table in there along with plenty of other craft stuff, as well as my boy’s toys, since my paint area is in their play room. After a crazy bazaar season, and also teaching a painting class for seven weeks to 12 Junior High students, my paint area became the dumping ground for books, and unpainted wood that I had great intentions of painting for my bazaars but never got too.

I have made good progress, found a huge amount of fabric stashed under my surfaces, and I have that all organized, now I need to gather up my patterns that I have traced and match them to the books and surfaces that they go with. Once I do that, I should be able to reorganize my table so that I can start working on a chair that I have had for years to paint and finish up, and then on to the next project.

I will keep you updated as I go along and will show you the projects that I have finished up too.

Happy Painting, or Cleaning!

  1. I actually got my space cleaned up…will have to take some pictures, it isn’t as organized yet as I would like, but I can at least walk to my table and paint. 🙂 I was able to get a few projects finished and have more waiting for me, but right now I am working on a 60″ canvas project for my youngest son’s class auction project. So, once that is done, then I can get to work on some more of those UFOs as well as start on the stack of ornaments for my bazaars this fall.

  2. So, how are you doing on your resolution? I’m doing pretty well on the UFO challenge….

  3. You can do eeeet!! 🙂 I think we all have the “dump” area at least once or twice!!! Think of how much fun you’ll have finding buried treasures! 🙂

  4. I love it Diane!! You are not alone- my space is very small too-about 6′ x 6′ . But organization will come! Happy Painting!!!

  5. Happy planning, you should see my “space”….your work doesn’t show your painting area 🙂 ….so paint on. Just found your site and love it. Thanks Ann…..A.S.K.
