Decoupage Pumpkins

Decoupage Pumpkins

I love our set of three resin pumpkins, and I was looking at the unfinished set sitting on my desk, I had a thought, why not cover them in fabric and try out DecoArt’s Decoupage Medium. The only parts I painted were the leaves and stems. Once those were shaded and highlighted, I chose three coordinating scrap fabrics and cut them into strips, read the instructions for the decoupage medium and away I went. It was a sticky project, but a lot of fun to do, and I am very happy with how they turned out. I added a plaid green patch of fabric to each pumpkin and a decorative button and a raffia bow to finish them. I can’t wait to display them this fall in my home!

Happy Painting and decoupaging!

  1. I have done this on bigger pumpkins. I used fabric
from grandfather’s apron to have a momento of his
love of cooking during this time of year! I will have to
try it on the Artist’s Club pumpkins! Hummmm, i think
    burlap maybe……:)
