DecoArt Chalky Paint Review

DecoArt Chalky Paint Review

I made a big painting oops this week! I painted our resin pumpkin with black acrylic paint, only to decide that I wanted to paint it a lighter color! The headache of painting over black with a lighter color was almost enough to keep me from changing it. Then, I remembered how DecoArt Chalky paint has amazing coverage.

I chose to use DecoArt Chalky Paint in Refreshing (15392) and used Americana Décor 2” Flat Brush to apply it. The wide brush made for quick and smooth coverage.

I only had to apply one coat with another coat of touch ups. I was so impressed! I would have had to do at least 3 coats of paint if I had used regular acrylic paint. I will definitely use chalky paint on resin in the future, especially for basecoating! It will cut my basecoating time in half.
