A Painting Class

A Painting Class

On a recent early Monday morning here in the AC/Purchasing Department, we held a little impromptu painting lesson for the group. We thought that our buyers should have a chance to see how much fun painting can be! So, we painted the Teardrop Ornaments, and had a great time making them become snowmen and a gingerbread. Teri and Anita are beginner painters and chose to turn their ornament into a snowman, where Laraine is an experienced painter who hasn’t painted in a while and she chose to turn hers into a gingerbread. They learned how to stipple and use a deerfoot and angle brush. They stippled faces, used a highlighter brush to add rosy cheeks, and floated some simple shadows for more definition. When all was done, all three of them did a great job, and who knows, maybe we have a few new and excited painters ready to move on to their next project! Hmmm, maybe time for another class, I wonder what it should be.

  1. Great looking ornaments! I’m so glad you are carrying these ornaments again. I bought some in wood from you several years ago, and painted them in metallic colors. I take them to the office every December and always receive raves on them. I have been looking for more of this type ever since. I’m ordering some today!
